Our aim at Happy Vale Montessori School is to offer a well balanced educational program using the Montessori Method of teaching which provides for the whole development of the child and respects their emotional, spiritual, physical and moral needs and development.

The Montessori approach to education is providing freedom within a prepared environment, stressing academic individualized learning and development for the whole child. The Montessori Method of education develops the child's five senses through manipulative materials in the classroom. Each classroom is equipped with classic Montessori materials that provide for hands on education. These materials are arranged in a progression of graduating difficulty, allowing the child to progress at his own pace.

By the end of the period spent in this establishment the child should:

Be well adjusted to his environment.
Be socially developed and can interact freely with other children and adults.
Be self-confident in accordance to age
Be responsible and capable of taking care of himself according to his age level.

If left the full duration (until age 5+) skills attained:

Have good control of pencil and have acquired good hand writing skills.
Have mastered all the basic phonic sounds and capable of reading fluently.
Know the four rules of number to 9000.

The child would have gained these developmental tools for learning as they master academic skills; concentration, self-initiation, problem solving and organizational skills
